Add PAS to your list of charities to support

During this economic downturn, people are having trouble feeding their pets.  Under the assumption that "those who can, should," we did, what we could. This summer we took in nine half-starved goats and 11 ducks. And, we're feeding and neutering the starving cats that show up at our door.

We also donated boxes of clothes to Sandpoint's Panhandle Animal Shelter.  We were very impressed with this new facility. The thrift store was filled with shoppers, the volunteers were busy sorting through the incoming donations, and the staff was encouraging everyone to just "look" at the many animals needing homes. The animals were doing their best to break your heart and make you want to adopt all of them.

I can think of no better place to be, on a cold afternoon, to escape the gloom of global economic meltdown, Mideast turmoil, and financial/political scoundrels.  It is a "Currier & Ives" treat to see the animals and the people who work so hard to find them a loving home. Put this wonderful place high on your list of "things to do" and charities to donate to.
