Officials failed residents with their lack of plowing
'Twas the week of the holidays and all through the town, not a creature was stirring, not even a snowplow. The moon on the breast of the ice covered streets, showed a luster of neglect, with mounds of new snow. When what to my wondering eyes did appear, but a blade on a dump truck carving a single narrow path, never fear. As I drew in my head and was turning around, down from the sky came more snow with a bound.
The holidays were here, the weekends too, again there was no present of a grader in the sight. Even downtown seemed to suffer our plight.
Away to county garage employees flew like a flash, and I heard them exclaim ere they drove out of sight: "We need another supplemental levy if you actually want us to do something … good night!"
