| January 6, 2009 8:00 PM

SANDPOINT - Brandon Lawrence scored nine points and grabbed seven rebounds while playing with a gimpy ankle, and Tony Locascio got a rare start and added six points and eight rebounds as Sandpoint cruised past Mt. Baker 62-37 Tuesday night at Les Rogers Court.

"Tony got the start tonight and played well," said Sandpoint coach Tyler Haynes of his senior, praising his tough defense on Mt. Baker's best player. "The points he got to night were on put-backs off of hard work."

Tanner French added five points, five assists and five steals, and Talis Siegel tossed in nine as the Bulldogs (2-3) jumped out to a 14-2 lead and never looked back. Seniors Zach Kuhl and John Salter got extensive playing time in the fourth quarter, and each drained a 3-pointer.

Sandpoint is at Moscow on Friday.
