Neighbors deserve thanks for keeping roads clear

| January 12, 2009 8:00 PM

I would like to write a letter of thanks to all my neighbors who have helped keep our road passable. It is a thankless job for those who do it, seems like folks just expect it.

Our county and city crews work tirelessly on keeping the snow and ice clear so we can all make it to and from during the course of our day. I am especially very thankful to the folks down our little private road, Ponderosa, out in Sagle.

During our big meltdown a lot of us were unable to get out. They worked on the road all day so that we could keep the traffic going.

It may be a small consolation, but you are very much appreciated for your hard work and good Samaritan attitudes. I am sure we all really appreciate being able to make it to work or our daily and weekend activities because you care to help us out (especially when we get stuck.)
