Get on board with the Holland brothers on Saturday

| January 22, 2009 8:00 PM

Schweitzer will host an X Games Party on Saturday, Jan. 24, starting at 11 a.m. Snowboard racers Nate and Patrick Holland,  both graduates of Sandpoint High School, will compete live on ABC. Big-screen viewing in Taps and Caribou Room, Wii contest for kids, food and drink specials, drawings for prizes and silent auction items are all geared toward helping your hometown North Idaho riders chase down a race gate at 2010 Winter Olympics. Free shuttle from base parking lot up at 10:30 a.m. and down at 4 p.m.

Nate will be defending his X-games Snowboardcross '08 '07 '06 Gold Medals and expects stiff challenges from his U.S. Snowboard Team members, including his brother Pat, and other top-ranked international competitors. If Nate gets a fourth consecutive Gold, it'll be X Games history.

Silent auction will continue online until Saturday, Jan. 31 at "www.hollandbrothers.net." Items include Schweitzer 2009-10 seasons pass, snowboard and skate gear, snowcat and raft trips, and more.

"Of course I am going for the fourth. I wouldn't be going if I weren't trying to win it. I am feeling confident and riding well. You just have to get in there and see what happens. Hopefully you have a good day and lay everything out on the line and you've done your homework," Holland told U.S Snowboarding.com. "It's going to be a tough competition this year, as it is every year, but I'm confident. I've done three already, so why not a fourth?"
