City's firefighters are professional, caring

We wish to express our sincerest appreciation to each and everyone who was so helpful during the fire at our home on Jan. 13. The firemen and EMTs were very professional and sensitive throughout the emergency.

We are blessed to have firefighters of this high caliber in our community. Their quick response and caring actions greatly reduced the damage to our historic home while working under extremely dangerous conditions.

The concern shown for our pets and our state of well-being throughout the ordeal will be remembered forever.

A particular thanks to Sandpoint Fire Chief Robert Tyler and each firefighter who risked their personal well-being to minimize our losses.

Thanks also to our neighbors, Paula and Sid, who were so caring to my wife.
