Belgarde, Fister, Porter and Sigman lead Bulldogs

MINICO — Garret Belgarde (103 pounds) registered two pins, against Minico and Pocatello with both right around a minute each, to lead Sandpoint during the first day of the Minico Invitational on Friday.

Sid Winter (135) registered a pin in 57 seconds, then lost 10-5 in his next match, both against Meridian opponents. Jacob Porter (119) scored a pin in 29 seconds against a Preston opponent, then was pinned by Highland. Colter Sigman (125) lost to Highland, before bouncing back to pin his Jerome opponent and score an 11-4 win over Nampa.

Leonard Fister (152) was pinned by his first opponent, before bouncing back to pin his next two opponents. Terry Taylor (285) was pinned twice on the first day.
