Proposed Green Owl site is a bad choice by county

We are among the homeowners who live in the 1200 block of Peninsula Road in Priest River.

The proposed new dump site is just across the road from us. If we lived in town , it would be just like we lived on one side of the street and the neighbor across the street would be the city dump. Needless to say we would no longer be able to sit on our front porch and enjoy the evenings without smelling and hearing the noise and seeing all the extra traffic it would bring.

I am asking anyone reading this to tell others and to please call or write to our county commissioner and tell him please do not put the new dump site here. There are other places off the road that would be much more appropriate than right here on the road. Yes, we know it would be fenced in but that doesn’t make it any more desirable.
