All-Stars drop opener

NOXON, Mont. — The Panhandle Babe Ruth All-Stars traveled to Noxon on Wednesday and dropped a doubleheader to Libby Babe Ruth.

The team is sponsored by Coldwater Creek, and dropped the first game 5-3. Coach Hans Feyen credited a good performance from his pitching staff of Caleb Nishimoto, Ryan Schwartz, Sam Nitcy, Tucker Davis, Eddo Feyen and Markus Davis. 

The nightcap ended after four innings because of darkness with a score of 3-1. Panhandle had strong defensive performances from Tyler Howk, Brain Crase and James Douglas in the outfield.

The team will host a home game on Tuesday, July 7 at War Memorial Field.
