Why are gas prices so much higher here?

| July 8, 2009 9:00 PM

Why is it, that Babe’s Shell gas station on Highway 200 in Ponderay, is always at least 10 cents a gallon less than all the rest of the area gas stations? This has been going on for months, so I have to believe that the other stations are, what, in collusion, to keep prices higher. I hope I’m not getting Babe in trouble here, but we all know that Coeur d’Alene is always lower than Sandpoint, and 40 miles can’t make that much of a rise in price, so what’s going on here? This is about the tenth letter to the editor about the price of gas in the last six months, and no reply, except for the extra mileage to Sandpoint. How about an answer!
