It's time for one big tea party

| July 13, 2009 9:00 PM

I was tired Saturday and laid down to watch a Hollywood bastardized version of the agonizing procedure that faced a small group of true heroic individuals from the colonies working for days over two pieces of paper — The Bill of Rights and the Constitution of the United States of America.

When the show was drawing to a close, I went to sleep and had a dream (if Martin Luther King could have one, I guess I was entitled.) It was a disturbing dream because I can’t get it out of my mind. I mentioned it in church Sunday to our pastor, and then listened to a stirring sermon from the altar.

My dream brought to me some dark thoughts, if some of our great leaders were still alive today, i.e., Patton, Lincoln, John F. Kennedy, and saw what we have in the Congress writing laws, i.e., Barney Frank, Cris Dodd, Ted Kennedy, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, my dream said that they woul march on Washington and hold one big tea party. As old as I am, I would love to see one led by true patriots of our present generation if there are any in the states.
