Chamber workshop highlights health benefit options

SANDPOINT — On Friday, the Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce is offering a no-cost workshop to impart health benefit options for businesses on a shoestring budget.

A panel of speakers representing the health industry will discuss options. Amy Lunde of Pend Oreille Insurance & Financial Services will discuss low-cost insurance options. Nicole England from North Idaho Health Network will explain how to build a wellness program. Don Helander, owner of Sandpoint West Athletic Club, will discuss a business wellness benefit plan and the importance of employee wellness for businesses.  

““This workshop was designed to help our small businesses learn about a few affordable options, and we encourage businesses to explore the wealth of resources available in our area,” said executive director Amy Little.

The workshop is part of the TGIF workshop series presented by the Bonner Business Center and hosted by the Chamber’s Business Development committee.

The workshop will be held on the second floor of the Sand Creek Business Park located on Highway 95 in Ponderay from noon to 2 p.m., and there is no fee to attend. This series is sponsored by MetLife Home Loans and Pend Oreille Insurance & Financial Services.
