Realtors owed thanks for helping food bank

| July 15, 2009 9:00 PM

The Bonner Community Food Bank would like to thank the Selkirk Association of Realtors for the $1,000 grant to purchase food for our clients. Then on June 5, a crew came to the food bank to build much needed shelving and two-coat racks for the “Coats for Kids” program that is done yearly for children of our clients.

In the meantime there were a crew of volunteers at each grocery store; Wal-Mart, Safeway and Yoke’s asking for donations of food and financial donations. They delivered 6,700 pounds of food and well over $2,000.

This is a wonderful needed boost for the food bank this time of the year. To all of the Realtors in Sandpoint and Bonner County, thank you so very much. We are humbled by the response you received and very thankful.
