Leo Mereland Handley, 81

Leo Mereland Handley, 81, passed peacefully into the next life on Sunday, July 19, 2009, in Modesto, Calif., at Garden City skilled nursing facility.

He was born Oct. 23, 1927, in Monroe, Wash., to Merle Ira Handley and Olga Constance Olsen Reienes.

Leo is survived by, Trisha (Bob) Isaman of University Place, Wash., Fred (Pamela) Handley of Elk Grove, Calif., Tina (Gilbert) Mink of Newark, Calif., Kathleen (Kevin) Kawell of Morristown, Minn., Laura (Brian) Jordan of Sandpoint, Idaho, Russell (Debra) Handley of Ripon, Calif.,; Kristen (Rob) Rhiner of Discovery Bay, Calif., 14 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, Aug. 3, at 2 p.m. at Centerville Presbyterian Church, at 4360 Central Avenue in Fremont, Calif.
