Adam Martin Reed

Adam Martin Reed of New Cas/Users/carolinelobsinger/Desktop/eBee/upload 6-4/obit_ Reed_6-4.txttle, Del., formerly of Dover, Del., died from a sudden accident in his home on May 30, 2009. He was 27.

Adam was born June 8, 1981, at Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane, Wash., to Douglas James Reed and Donna Lee Milich Reed.

Adam has held a variety of work positions. He enjoyed all aspects of cooking and valued the positions he held in this area. He followed a simple life where being together with family and friends were the foundation of his path. He especially loved being around children, and had many, many “little people” as friends who gravitated towards his kindhearted demeanor. Technology was his other area of interest with computers and games. Fishing, crabbing, and other outdoor activities were hobbies with friends.

Adam was preceded in death by his younger sister, Jessica Danielle Reed, on May 17, 2006.

He is survived by his parents, Douglas Reed and Donna  Reed, both residents of Dover; his wife of seven years, Sherry Ann Reed of New Castle; his grandmother, Patricia Milich of Cheney, Wash.; great-uncle and aunt, Jim and Frances Reed of Sagle, Idaho; aunts and uncles, Keith Reed and his wife Rebecca of Kootenai, Idaho; Sam Reed of Sagle, Mike Reed and his wife Lynnae of Sandpoint, Idaho; Dale Milich and his wife Diane of Medical Lake, Wash.; Diana Bren of Strandburg, S.D.; Carl Milich and his wife Kelly of Airway Heights, Wash.,Keith Milich and his wife Karen of Medical Lake, Wash.; Carol Milich and her companion, Ben Saenz, of Rogers, Ark.; Kurt Milich and his wife Kari of Minneapolis, Minn., 13 cousins, his stepson, Paul Price Jr. and his wife Kimberly of Dover, and three step-grandchildren, Alica, Paul and Simon.

A memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 5, in the First Presbyterian Church of Dover, 54 S. State Street, Dover where friends may call between 6:30-7:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to his sister’s scholarship fund to continue the dreams of overcoming challenges and hardships opening the gateway to life’s opportunities for others. Donations may be sent to the First Presbyterian Church of Dover care of Jessica Reed Scholarship Fund, 54 South State St, Dover, DE 19901.
