Relaxation Destination graduates to own suite

SANDPOINT — Scarcely a year after opening Your Relaxation Destination at the Bonner Business Center, reflexologist Penny Waters is “graduating” to a suite of her own in Sandpoint.

Rapid growth and a happy confluence of connections and business opportunities convinced Walters that it was the right time to take her business to the next level.

“I’d planned on staying (at the BBC) another year, but I found a great location near many of my current clients, convenient to downtown, with plenty of parking and a building designed in keeping with my type of business,” she said.

During her year at the BBC, Penny modified her vision for her business — which combines reflexology, skin care and numerous therapeutic services — based on experience and counsel.

“I had expected that I’d be doing a lot of writing, consulting and educating for larger companies,” she said. “But it became clear that the business was going to be more hands-on, working directly with people with reflexology and herbs.”

Walters credits the business center for allowing her to adapt rapidly to an evolving business plan.

“The main thing we provided was flexibility,” said BBC manager Wally Schmidt.

“We were able to accommodate Penny’s space requirements as she was testing various operations, and we were able to meet her needs for reception and clerical services.”
