Horowitz finding success in fashion

SANDPOINT — A local teen is finding success in the fashion world with her own line of clothes, called 528 Fashions.

Alena N. Horowitz, 17, is a Sandpoint native but recently moved to California to purse her dream of succeeding in the fashion industry.

“My name, Alena, means light, and I want to share my light, inspiration, and love of life with all people,” she said. “I want to be the change I wish to see in the world.”

Horowitz’s father spent years researching sound therapy and studying the effect of different frequencies on the human body. Dr. Len Horowitz said everything in nature puts off a frequency, even emotions.

Thus, with this love frequency in mind, Horowitz named her fashion line.

“When you do what you love, work seems easy and things seem to flow,” she said. “Work can be fun! I am doing what I love doing and my life is going in the direction I’ve always dreamed for it to go. I have so much to be thankful for.”

While she is new to the industry, Horowitz is already finding success. Her design, called “Musical Graffiti,” was recently chosen to be the official concert T-shirt for Live H2O, a world-wide concert taking place later this month.
