Tonnemacher leads Lakers in blowout

| June 19, 2009 9:00 PM

SANDPOINT — Cole Tonnemacher was swinging a scorching hot stick under the Friday Night lights of War Memorial Field, lacing three doubles and a triple to lead the Riley Creek Lakers in a rout of Riverside.

Tonnemacher drove in six runs, and two of his hits would have been out of most ball parks, as the Lakers (6-5) offense was in high gear. The Lakers led 22-7 in the 6th inning, when the Bee went to press.

Joel Cramer, Scott Snow, Tyler Gordon, Cory Neer and Tonnemacher each scored three runs in the slugfest. Nick Halpin, David Dishong and Gordon each pitched in the win.

The Lakers play a doubleheader at Silver Valley, with first pitch at 1 p.m.
