Bonner General recaps 2008 services, achievements
Things were busy at Bonner General Hospital in 2008. As a small community hospital, BGH has always been known for providing personalized care, and our staff takes pride in the fact that we don’t treat our patients as statistics. But nonetheless, the numbers are a keen reminder of the important role that everyone at the hospital plays in helping to meet our community’s health needs.
Here are a few interesting 2008 statistics:
• BGH admitted 2,937 inpatients
• Our patients stayed a total of 7,855 days
• A patient’s average length of stay was 2.5 days
• We saw 58,343 outpatients
• The Maternity Unit delivered 424 babies
• The Emergency Department had 8,444 patient visits
• Home Health & Hospice saw approximately 9,576 patients in their homes
• Priest River Medical Clinic had 6,986 patient visits
• Bonner General Immediate Care had 6,090 patient visits
• The Cancer Center had 6,534 patient visits
We are proud to be our community’s local, not-for-profit hospital.
Our goal for 2009 is to continue to expand and strengthen the hospital’s programs and services and to ensure that we always provide the very best in healthcare to our residents!
