Kristi Leann Keinert, 39, passed away on Feb. 17, 2009, in Sandpoint, Idaho. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 7, 2009, at Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Kristi was born on Feb. 21, 1969, in Stanley, N.D., to Lyda Aune and Greg Ellvanger. She was educated in Stanley and graduated from high school May 17, 1987. She moved to Phoenix, Ariz., where she worked for Discover Card of America. In Phoenix she met and married Brandon Keinert. They have an 11-year-old daughter together, Hannah Renae.

Kristi became a home health care giver, where she cared for elderly and house-bound patients. Often times, she invited her patients to spend holidays and weekends with her family if they had nowhere else to go. The family moved to Priest River, Idaho, and Kristi went to work for Life Care Center in Sandpoint. Kristi and Brandon divorced and she moved to Sandpoint.

She lived every day for her daughter, and Hanna will always be the love of her life. Kristi was a very special woman to all who knew her. She touched the lives of many by giving of herself. She loved visiting North Dakota and spending time with her family. She enjoyed being outdoors where she would ride horses and motorcycles, take long walks, or garden. She also enjoyed crafting and crocheting, reading a good book or talking on the phone. Kristi was an ever loving, always caring, daughter, sister, mother and friend, and she will be terribly missed by all.

She is survived by her daughter, Hannah Keinert of Priest River; mother, Lyda (Scott) Aune of Williston, N.D.; father, Greg Ellvanger, of Stanley, N.D.; two brothers, Brandon (Katie) Ellvanger and Dane Aune; a sister Laiken Aune; and niece and nephew, Alyssa and Mason Ellvanger, all of Williston; and her grandmother, Violet Ellvange; uncle, Kenny (Leslie) Ellvanger; and aunts, Debbie Wright and Lana Jorgenson, all of Stanley; an uncle, Curt (Jerrine) Gjerdevig of Richland, Wash.; and two aunts, Joyce Gjerdevig of Madison, and Donna Ranum of Stanley
