Program raises more questions than answers

Here’s a heart-wrenching story about our beloved adopt-a-pet program. It’s a fraud. I have a terrible mouse and rat problem. I’ve never paid for a cat before in my life. But I figured it’s full-grown, it’s been fixed and it’s had its shots so I’ll pay $30 for a nice calico cat. This was late afternoon in mid-February. I got a litter box and some food for it and brought it home and in the house.

I am sure it must have caught some mice that night because I saw it catch some the next day. I was digging it. That night about 9 p.m., a lady from the place where I got the cat knocked on the door to come take the cat back. She said it was because I marked on the application that I was looking for an outdoor cat. She called its name and it came to her. She gave me my $30 back, picked up the cat and left.

The next day I went back there to see what was going on. It really hurt my feelings to see this same cat in a small cage just hoping for some attention. I think it’s inhumane what these people are doing and they ought to be checked out.
