Gladys Lenora Frye Jacobs

Born on Jan. 24, 1921, in Tama, Iowa, Gladys Lenora Frye Jacobs passed into eternity on March 12, 2009 in Coeur d'Alene.

She was married to Clarence"Jiggs" Jacobs in 1937. In the late 1940s, she was a well-known country music entertainer, performing as "Lee Jacobs." She sang on K.F.J.B. Radio in Marshalltown, Iowa and also on W.H.O. Barndance Frolic in DesMoines.

She is survived by her daughter, Dixie Vucinich; her grandchildren, Lauree, Dana, Mark, Jeff, and BeauVucinich and Greg Jacobs. She is also survived by her loving 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Preceeding Lee into eternity is her father, Warren C. Rye; her mother, Mary Bear; her husband, Clarence "Jiggs" Jacobs; a son, Clarence "Butch" Jacobs Jr.; sisters, Jessie Braye and Lenora Armstrong; and a brother, Eldon Frye.

Lee was married for a second time to Robert Liebus in Sandpoint, Idaho, in 1980. He also preceeds her in death.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, March 17, at 1 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Post Falls, Idaho
