Future Physique Pilates Studio welcoming new clients

| March 19, 2009 9:00 PM

SANDPOINT — It takes eight weeks for an exercise regiment to show benefits, and now is perfect timing to start getting that body swimsuit ready for summer.

Future Physique Pilates Studio will welcome new clients during its grand opening today from 4-7 p.m.

The studio has expanded and moved to its new location at the Cedar Street Station (Misty Mountain Furniture Building, Suite E). Meet James Eberle and Chantal Bezy and learn how Pilates improves overall health and well-being.

Pilates is designed to restore the natural curves of the spine, and rebalance the muscles around the joints improving general fitness and health. It is, practiced by anyone of any fitness level from the couch potato who wants to get in shape, to those with chronic aches and pains, to performance athletes wishing to raise their fitness to the next level.

James Eberle, began her Pilates practice in 2000 and is opening her studio along with Chantal Bezy, both Level 1 certified STOTT pilates instructors.

“I learned about pilates after a close friend had broken her back in a snowboarding accident, explained James, “She told me she used pilates to rehabilitate her body and that she has never felt better. She also looked incredible; She was more fit, and had leaner and longer muscles.”

Eberle has been working in the fitness industry for 10 years. An elite athlete and trainer, she is also a personal trainer through the American Council on Exercise.

Bezy, tired of feeling sick and tired, began pilates five years ago. Teaching for a year and a half, she has been able to see results in others and continue to be amazed at how her clients look younger, with better posture. Coupled with cardiovascular exercise, they lose weight and get more toned.

The essence of pilates is proper body alignment, the foundation of mental and physical health. It is a non-stressful form of exercise. A first session with James or Chantal will start with a postural analysis and health history. Through that session, James and Chantal are able to determine muscle imbalances and misalignments. They work with clients to correct these imbalances, and to strengthen the weak muscles that cause it. Through better body awareness, the client progresses to better skeletal alignment and a leaner, more fit and sculpted body.

“Anyone can benefit from the practice of pilates, says James, “I have clients who have begun because of chronic pain and have continued past the pain prevention stage to increase strength and advance into endurance. I have clients that have sworn that pilates has improved their lives by relieving them of pain.”

Athletes benefit by understanding their body mechanics better and correcting alignment in their repetitive moves for sports.

New clients who visit the studio during the grand opening can sign up for a free postural analysis as well as receive one free session when pre-paying for seven.

The grand opening is today from 4-7 p.m. Refreshments will be served. 502 Cedar Street Suite E, Call James at 610-. 2130 for more information.
