The Idaho Small Business Development Center will offer a four-part business workshop series targeted toward small business owners at the North Idaho College Bonners Ferry Center.

The “Business Foundations” workshop series will be presented by Idaho Small Business Development Center Region 1 Director Bill Jhung and will cover topics such as marketing, profitability and business planning.

Each workshop will be offered from 8:30 a.m. to noon Tuesdays at the NIC Bonners Ferry Center, located at 6791 Main Street in Bonners Ferry.

“Marketing: Hitting the Right Target for Profit” will be held March 31. The workshop will focus on knowing key customers and learning how to use customer and competition profiles to analyze market potential and generate profits.

“Managing Your Business Finances Like A Pro” will be April 28. This part of the series will cover essential financial statements and how to use them for business success.

“Managing Your Operations for Profit” May 26 will build upon the previous two workshops to teach participants how to distinguish key business processes in business operations to improve productivity, effectiveness and efficiency.

“Planning for Business Success” is the final workshop in the series offered June 30. This workshop will help small business owners chart a course for business success through a business plan used to grow businesses.

The workshop series is sponsored by the Bonners Ferry Chamber of Commerce, Panhandle State Bank and the Boundary Economic Development Council.

Cost is $29 for individual sessions or $100 for the series. Chamber members who register by Wednesday, March 18 will receive a $10 discount.
