Why isn't Sandpoint getting some money?

| March 23, 2009 9:00 PM

Our new president has chosen to return some of the money that should have never been taken from us in the first place and the line to get it is long.

According to www.stimuluswatch.org/project/by state, Sandpoint is not in the line. Pocatello is in line for more than $6.6 million for their schools and even Arco is in the line for a new $600,00 bike path.

Idaho is looking at $884 million in pork but it seems that Sandpoint’s financial needs are being met with higher city taxes instead. Of course we will still have to pay for the other projects.

Why is Sandpoint not on the list for our “tax rebate?” Did our public officials fail to process the paperwork? I think we at least need a new bridge.
