| March 25, 2009 9:00 PM

LEWISTON — The Sandpoint softball team made its season debut Tuesday night in Lewiston, dropping the first game of the IEL doubleheader 7-2, then falling 15-0 in the nightcap.

Molly Givens held the Lewiston offense in check with six solid innings of work in game one, posting zeroes on the scoreboard in four of the frames.

The Bulldogs offense couldn’t find a rhythm, as Jarae Marienau and Molly Givens had the only hits for Sandpoint (0-2).

The Bulldogs head to Boise this weekend for the ISG tournament. See next Tuesday’s Daily Bee for a full recap of the games.

Correction: The Sandpoint softball team will be previewed after spring break, not this week, as stated previously in the Daily Bee.

n The Sandpoint tennis team’s match against Moscow on Wednesday was canceled. No make up date has been set.
