SANDPOINT — Panhandle State Bank has announced the addition of Kim Diercks as commercial loan officer for the Sandpoint branch and community development officer for Bonner and Boundary counties.

“Kim will be taking on two roles for us and we are very happy to have her on board,” said Business Banking Team Leader Kelly Glenn. “She will be working closely on our Powered by Community program with our four branches in Bonner and Boundary County as well as maintaining her customer relationships based out of the Sandpoint office.”

Excited at the new challenges and at helping PSB establish its new community partnership program, Diercks is looking forward to increasing her community commitment by taking a leadership role in Powered by Community initiatives.

“I’ve always been very involved in the Sandpoint area with several organizations in town,” Diercks said. “Now, I’ll be able to build upon my strong contacts in our community and work with leaders in the surrounding areas to get as many business leaders as possible excited about and engaged in our vision to create community-based prosperity.”

Also as commercial lender, Kim knows local businesses may need a lot of help in our current economy and she looks forward to helping those businesses “obtain the funding they need to weather the current economic storm and to position them for growth in the near future.”

Kim joins Panhandle State Bank with 22 years of experience in the financial industry including seven years in banking and commercial lending.

Kim is heavily involved with many local organizations and is President of the Kinderhaven Board of Directors, treasurer for the Pend Oreille Arts Council Board and vice president of her Leadership Sandpoint class.
