St. REGIS, Mont. — The Clark Fork golf team ended its season on a high note, playing the best golf of the year last Thursday at the eight team St. Regis Invite.

Greg Sleath fired a 100, followed by David Meadow (114), Stetson McElhaney (122), Bryce Bare (137) and Ryan Barnett (146). Paige Gear was the lone Wampus Cat girl, posting a solid 114, made all the better in the windy and rainy conditions.

“The group played better than at any other tournament,” said Cats coach K.C. Mac Donald, whose team logged precious little course time this season. “It’s too bad that we are done, now that we are shaving strokes.”
