Officials are running amuck in Sandpoint

It appears that “department” heads are running amuck here in Sandpoint. Last year a few residents received letters demanding that a “back flow test” be performed to meet some federal/state mandate. I and some of my neighbors (not all) were required to have this done. We had never heard of this before but we complied assuming all residential and commercial establishments were being treated equally. I paid $50 to a licensed service because I didn’t want to have to pay the city $200 if they hired someone, an implied threat.

Earlier this year we discovered that only few people were required to comply not everyone in Sandpoint. Well not this year people I and many in Sandpoint are fed up with this “do what we tell you or else” dictatorial attitude by these “bureau bums.” Enough is enough, I and many residents of Sandpoint remember the great “side walk” lies of last year which costs a few of our residences thousands of dollars based on what City Council members told them – “don’t worry about it we’ll fix it.” Yeah you sure did. So this year you come at us again on back flow testing complete with threats of sending “someone” out to turn off our water if we don’t comply. Now listen up y’all, anyone coming onto my property without my permission or being invited will face the business side of the law. A law suit will be filed and I dare say once it gets going; nearly every property owner in Sandpoint will enjoin making it a class action law suit. I can assure you this suit won’t be just to correct the record but for a lot of money.

If all don’t do this, then none do it, oh and by the way, I am not afraid of any jack-booted bullies.
