Legistation looks to take freedom from farmers

| May 23, 2009 9:00 PM

Concerning the bill, HR875 & S425 Food Safety Act, to be overseen by the newly-created bureaucratic office of “The Food Safety Administration.”

This bill is trying to fly under the radar, as quickly as possible. It has multiple sections with broad definability — all devised to steal from you  the freedom to grow your own organic garden, under the auspices of food safety.

I stumbled upon this story while surfing the Internet. The site I found this on is Matrix News Network. The story title is, “Banned organic, bird flu and more.”

You can listen to the news trailer. This sent me on my information quest to verify the accuracy of the story. I then googled HR875 on several links. The story was reported correctly. In researching several of the sites in regards to this bill, I was appalled and horrified to find in the bill’s many sections, the government’s deceptions that have been designed to steal another freedom. Please make the time to do your own research.

Here are just a few highlights of the bill.

Section 405: Civil and criminal penalties of up to $1 million for each act.

Section 502: Seizure of property and assets.

Section 408: Crossing over into the Fair Trade Act, provision and penalties.

Not just growing for your own consumption but our little farmers markets and bartering with our neighbors. All this takes place 180 days after implementation of the bill. We must act now, time is running out.

If you cherish what you have, do not be complacent. Contact your representatives now.
