Let's keep walking throughout the year

With Walk to School Day a huge Sandpoint success, let’s keep the effort going throughout the school year.

Last year the outstanding efforts by residents and the Sandpoint Public Works Department kept our sidewalks and streets passable for children to continue walking to school. As a child I remember how much fun it was to walk in the snow — woolen mittens, catching snowflakes on your tongue and tromping through the snow was a magical time. Let’s work to keep our sidewalks and pathways clear and pass on this wonderful memory to our children.
