Lake City girls down Sandpoint in basketball season opener

COEUR d’ALENE — Timberwolf Alyssa Kacalek was 6 of 10 from behind the arc for a game-high 22 points as the Timberwolves (1-0) defeated the Bulldogs 69-21 in a non-league opener for both teams.

Maggie Kirsher and Alex Bucholtz had six points apiece to lead the Bulldogs (0-1) in defeat.

Sandpoint hosts Post Falls on Tuesday.
