Community's support for LeAnn appreciated

| November 18, 2009 8:00 PM

I am writing to say thank you to the people in this community who just keep on giving; where there is a need, there is a turnout.

Two weeks ago, more than 1,000 thousand of you attended an auction/dinner to benefit the Owens family … how cool is that?

This weekend is the ever-amazing Holly Eve, how lucky are we that this group of people works so hard year after year?

Also, this weekend on Friday night there is an event that will make a big difference in a local couples’ life. I am asking you to consider being there even in the midst of all these other worthwhile causes and opportunities for generosity.

Our friend LeAnn Becker has cancer. If you don’t know LeAnn, I’m sorry. It would make your life richer, she would make you smile and see the humor in any situation, she would surely lighten your load.

Those of us that do know her are going to be at the fairgrounds Friday night and we would like you to join us. An auction, a meal and laughter to help lighten LeAnn and Randy’s load.

Thank you again, Sandpoint.

MARY ANN JEFFRES
