Palmer posts double-double in Cats' win

PLUMMER — Zara Palmer had a huge game, posting 14 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Wampus Cats to a 38-23 win over Wallace Friday night in the opening round of the North Star League Tournament.
Palmer also scored 11 points in a loss to Bonners Ferry, and has emerged as one of the Cats’ primary scoring threats. Shaina Gustafson added 12 points and eight steals, Celeste Komanec four points and 10 rebounds and Tessa Vogel two points and nine rebounds. Claire McMahon, Bella Kinn and Tabitha Van Buren rounded out the scoring with two apiece against Wallace.
The Cats beat Lakeside 35-19 to win the championship.
