NMSI lands $16M contract

SANDPOINT — Northern Management Services Inc. has been awarded a $1.16 million contract to construct a National Park Service facility on the Alaska Peninsula.

The Sandpoint-based contracting company was picked to build a maintenance facility at Lake Brooks in the Katmai National Park & Preserve. The U.S. Department of the Interior awarded the federal contract on Friday in Anchorage, Alaska, according to a news release.

Northern Management was formed in 1991 and bills itself as a leading provider of maintenance and construction services. The company says it is currently performing 37 contracts in 19 states.

NMSI provides services for the General Services Administration, the U.S. military, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, the state of Alaska and other municipalities, the company’s Web site said.

From 2000 to 2008, the company has been awarded $14.5 million in contracts, according to the Web site governmentcontractswon.com.
