SANDPOINT — Two people have been implicated in break-ins at a Sandpoint storage business.

Michael David Gutierrez, 18, is charged with burglary and Daniel James Springsteel, 25, is charged with grand theft by possession of stolen property.

Both were ordered held Friday in lieu of $10,000 bail.

Public defenders have been appointed to represent the two men and preliminary hearings are pending.

The break-ins occurred during the last couple of weeks in October, according to charging documents. Tools, snowboards, sporting goods and home electronics were stolen from four burglarized units at A-Aaron’s Mini at Division Avenue and Baldy Mountain Road.

Springsteel denied involvement in the burglaries. Gutierrez said he was accompanied during the burglaries, but declined to identify the accomplice, court records said.
