Fay E. Meredith, 87

Fay E. Meredith, 87, of Clark Fork, Idaho, died Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009, at Bonner General Hospital. 

She was born Sept. 21, 1922 in Craig, Mont., the daughter of Fred and Rita Pedersen.  She was raised in Montana and graduated from Helena Montana high school.  She married Clyde Meredith on October 20, 1945 in Helena.  They lived in Boulder, CO from 1946-1948, in Helena for a year, Butte, MT for a year.  In 1950 they moved to Washington State finally settling in Clark Fork, ID in 1952 where they have since resided.

Fay worked for a time in a bank and for the telephone company, but after having children became a mostly a stay at home mother.  She was active in PTA, was a den mother in cub scouts, and a charter member of Clark Fork Lutheran Church.

She loved flower gardening, reading and playing games with her family.

In addition to her husband Clyde of Clark Fork she is survived by 3 children: Dave (Sharon) Meredith of Boise, ID, Joe (Angela) Meredith of Vancouver, WA, Janet (Neal) Drummond of Calpine, CA; 1 brother: Lyle Pedersen of Helena, MT; grandchildren: Lisa (Eric) Larpenteur, Jason (Alyssa) Meredith, Mike (Laurie) Meredith, Meredith (Mike) Gissler, Staci Meredith, Jake (Maria) Drummond, Jessie Drummond, and by nine great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial services for Fay Meredith will be conducted 11:00AM, Thursday, October 1, 2009 at 1st .Lutheran Church in Sandpoint, with Pastor Bob Nale, officiating.  Private inurnment will take place in the Clark Fork Cemetery at a later time.
