Audrey N. Vallieres

Audrey N. Vallieres died Sept. 7, 2009, at her home in Olympia, Wash.

She was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, on July 24, 1918

After marrying in 1942, she moved to the United States as a wartime Air Force wife. After the war they moved to Oregon, and then to Sandpoint, Idaho, where they owned and operated Sandpoint House of Flowers.

She dedicated her time to her family, her church and the Boy Scouts, being awarded the Silver Fawn for her many years of service.

In retirement they returned to Oregon and then to Grangeville, Idaho, moving once more in 2002 to Olympia.

She is survived by sons, Gary of Kalispell, Mont., Bill of San Diego, Calif., and Roger of Newport, Wash.; and daughter, Joy Higgins of Olympia. She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and her beloved husband, Joseph, "Ozzie" Vallieres.
