We must take stand against unwanted taxes

| October 3, 2009 9:00 PM

Once again the whining of the heads public employee departments nets taxes on “some” of the paying slaves and approved by their council puppets.  I’m standing up for the most vulnerable in our society, the elderly and not on behalf of businesses as they won’t stand up for themselves.  Both the Fire Chief, Robert Tyler and Police Chief, Mark Lockwood want more money to do the job we as tax paying slaves already pay them to do knowing they won’t get another tax levy, so they come up with a “fee scheme” whenever an alarm goes off on a business or private residence. Maybe this is an earth shattering problem for these two but this is not the way to handle it.

Many of our residence have these systems for various reasons and pay monthly to protect their homes, feel safer but more and more for medical reasons as the newer home systems have the ability to contact medical personnel in an emergency.  But once again the arrogance, greed and insensitivity of public works entities and City Council members proves that “we the people” are nothing more than “we the tax slaves” and have no representation on the City Council, the Board of Commissioners, the LPSD or the State of Idaho (not to mention the Congress).  Is this not tantamount to legalized extortion through political corruption?  I ask those selected “tax slaves” to vote against Michael Boge, Carrie Logan, Helen Newton, John O’Hara and S. Snedden if they appear on the November ballot; this is our only way to correct these continual tax attacks.
