Former CEO was a benefit to Coldwater Creek
To all who should be concerned:
I wanted to clarify something that I think was misrepresented. There was a news release that I think was damaging to someone that didn’t deserve it. I am a business owner and have lived in the Sandpoint area for about 20 years.
Dan Griesemer was appointed to be chief executive office at Coldwater Creek in probably the most difficult time in the company’s history. He, with his integrity and team player spirit, managed to keep the company on an even keel.
I remember the former days, before Dan, that groups of people would be led into a room and told they lost their jobs and not to go back to their computers and escorted out the door. This was a repeated occurrence. While, when Dan was in charge, yes, he had to lay people off to keep the company in balance but the lay offs were very selective and they rented a commercial building to set up a place for those that were laid off to get help with their resumes and job placement. A far cry from former days.
I wanted him to know that his integrity, professionalism and team camaraderie didn’t go unnoticed, and I am not the only one that noticed.
