Top Dog wrestling set to kick off season

SANDPOINT — Top Dog wrestling will kick off its fall season next week beginning Oct. 12, with practices held at Sandpoint High School. The program has produced a multitude of state and national caliber athletes at all levels.

Top Dog wrestling is open to all students in grades K-8. Those who wish to be part of this year’s program should register early as space is limited.

Beginning wrestlers will focus on fundamentals, tumbling  and play. Beginners are not required to attend weekend tournaments. Beginning wrestlers will practice two days per week. Advanced wrestlers will build upon previously learned skills in preparation for regional-level competition. Advanced wrestlers will practice three days per week.

Registration is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 7, from 5-6:30 p.m., at East Bonner County Library in Meeting Room 104. The cost is $50, which includes a t-shirt and secondary insurance. Top Dog is a registered non-profit organization.
