COEUR d’ALENE — Sandpoint swept Coeur d’Alene 25-20, 25-21 and 25-14 in Inland Empire League volleyball action Tuesday night in Coeur d’Alene, but Bulldogs head coach Karen Alsager still doesn’t feel like her team is back in form after suffering its third five-set loss of the season last weekend at Central Valley.

Piper Wahlin had 11 kills and two aces, Christina Johnson added 16 digs and two aces, Koko James tallied 17 assists and Kaiti Lunde two blocks for the Bulldogs (13-3), who have more losses this season than all of last year.

“We’re in a little bit of a funk right now that we need to work through,” said head coach Karen Alsager. “We played hard tonight, but we just didn’t have our usual rhythm. I’m hoping in the Crossover we can get our rhythm back.”

Kylie Curtis had five kills and 12 assists for Coeur d’Alene (2-19).

Sandpoint opens the Crossover Classic in Spokane on Saturday, at 8 a.m., as they’ll get to cut their teeth against some of the top schools in Washington.
