Chamber celebrates new wine shop

PONDERAY — Your Complete Wine Shoppe began as a hobby and progressed into a business providing products for home wine makers and brewers.

“People kept encouraging us to start a business,” said partner Kristy Harvey, a home wine maker who recently won a blue award at the 2009 Bonner County Fair for her Italian Montepulciano.

Harvey describes herself and owner Sherri Remmers as “two old ladies having fun” who are excited to offer hobby wine makers the kits and tools they need.

“We support wine makers and make wine for those who want that service,” said Harvey. The ‘shoppe’ carries winemaking equipment, wine kits, home brewing kits, and gifts. The wine kits range from table wines to nationally recognized state wines. Vin on premise is another service offering they provide, and Harvey said customers can partake in as little or as much of the process as they’d like.

For those not savvy in winemaking, Your Complete Wine Shoppe offers wine kit making classes in October. And during the holidays, patrons can make their own wine to bundle in a gift basket.

Your Complete Wine Shoppe, located at 400 Schweitzer Plaza Dr., Suite 2, is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 263-2444.
