CLARK FORK — It was a special night in more ways that one for the Clark Fork girls volleyball team, which swept Mullan 25-17, 25-20 and 25-7 Thursday night at Clark Fork High School.

Not only was it Senior Night, with all five seniors on varsity playing prominent roles, but the win also gave the Wampus Cats (11-3, 7-1 NSL) the North Star League championship.

Shaina Gustafson hammered 12 kills and Chelsea Macumber served 10 aces to lead a strong showing by a very strong senior class. Moranda Becker led the Cats with three digs, Jessica Cartmell two blocks, and Kandice Daniels came off the bench to drill seven aces. Lacey Buxton was also one of the seniors honored before the game.

Celeste Komanec had 13 set assists, and Tabitha Van Buren added 11, as a couple of sophomores also contributed.

The Cats are at Timberlake on Thursday.
