Thanks to the many good folks of the Sandpoint community who contributed to the recent fund raiser in the fight against pancreatic cancer. “Cruisin’ for a Cure” on Lake Coeur d’Alene successfully raised about $10,000 to advance research, provide education and support patients in the battle against this silent, deadly killer.  Proceeds go to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, the national organization also known as PANCAN.

Cash donations and items for silent auction were donated by Yokes, Coldwater Creek, Litehouse Dressings, Unicep Packaging, Sandpoint Super Drug, Waterfront Property Management, Internal Medicine Associates, Everygreen Realty, Lead-Lok, Sharon’s Hallmark, Flaming Joe’s of Sandpoint, local residents Steve and Sandy Burnett, Rob Kincaid and George and Barbara Phinney of Coeur d’Alene and Sandpoint Furniture.

Pend O’Reille Winery and Laughing Dog Brewery generously provided beverages and everyone was entertained by Ben “Preslee” Klein and the “Rockabillies”, Ben’s Mom and Dad, The “Serendipity” yacht was the setting for the scenic event and owner Greg Cook and the “Rockabillies” discounted the cost of their services as contributions to the cause.
