Marsha Ogilvie will be a huge asset for city

| October 24, 2009 9:00 PM

When I heard Marsha Ogilvie was running for Sandpoint City Council, I was thrilled. Marsha has the knowledge, integrity and common sense that will no doubt be a huge asset to the residents of Sandpoint.

Marsha has already made a significant impact on Sandpoint through her countless volunteer activities. Some of these include serving for 12 years as the president of the board of directors for Kinderhaven, a home for abused and neglected children; her patriotism shined when she organized the Road Home welcome parade and celebration for injured Iraq veteran Brandon Adam; she served as chair and founder for Women Honoring Women; served as a board member for the Downtown Sandpoint Business Association and much more.

Marsha knows what challenges are facing this town and is willing to go the extra mile to make sure whatever decision she makes is thoroughly researched.

Marsha has a way of uniting people who share a common goal, but may have different ideas about how to achieve that goal. Having owned a downtown business for many years, Marsha knows the challenges business owners in Sandpoint face.

Marsha is well aware of the time and dedication involved in serving her city, and she welcomes the opportunity. She retired just a few years ago and is willing to devote her time to making Sandpoint affordable and enjoyable for all its residents.

There are many people in this town who say they want to make a difference in the community in which they live. Marsha Ogilvie already has done that and by electing her to Sandpoint City Council she will undoubtedly continue to do so. Please cast your vote for Marsha on November 3rd. You won’t be disappointed!
