David Lloyd Landingham, 71

David Lloyd Landingham, 71, of Careywood, Idaho, died Sunday, Oct. 25, 2009, at Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

He was born March 4, 1938, in Yakima, Wash., the son of Loran and Viola Landingham.

He moved with his family to the Seattle area and later to Kent, Wash. Following his graduation from high school he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served his country in Korea.

Upon his discharge he moved to Alaska where he worked for the highway department until his retirement. In 1987 he moved to Careywood, Idaho, where he has since resided.

He enjoyed making toy boats, and airplanes, fishing, hunting, and loved his dogs.

He is survived by five children, Donnie (Cassandra) Landingham of Puyallup, Wash., Kaylee (Vern) Fowler of Virginia, Samantha (Danny) Maple of Spirit Lake, Idaho, Harvey (Audrey) Landingham of Careywood, Idaho, A.J. (Angie) Landingham of Hayden, Idaho; 11 grandchildren; a brother, Walter Landingham of Fairbanks, Alaska; and a sister, Delores McCulloch of Idaho. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond, Elmer, Sonny; and by a sister, Doris.

Private family services will be held at a later time.
