Mildred Alice Peiffer, 85

Mildred Alice Peiffer, 85, of Rogersville, Mo., and former Sandpoint, Idaho, resident, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009, at the home of her daughter, Lucille Laymon.

Mildred was born on Aug. 1, 1924, in LaJunta, Colo., to Joe and Fannie (Stephenson) Perrigo. The family moved to Idaho soon after and Mildred spent much of her life growing up and raising her family in Idaho.

Mildred attended the Victory Life Church in Rogersville.

She was married to John Goughnour, who preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by a son, Leonard; a daughter, Shirley Goughnour; and her five brothers and six sisters.

Surviving are three sons, John Goughnour and wife, Jean, of Clarkston, Wash., Paul Goughnour of Sweethome, Ore., and Ron Goughnour and wife, Michelle, of Post Falls, Idaho; her two daughters, Lucille Laymon of Rogersville, Mo., and Paula Goughnour of Springfield, Mo.; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009, at the Panther Valley cemetery Fordland.

Services are under the direction of Preston-Marsh Funeral Home in Rogersville.
