Alleen F. McIntire, 97

Alleen F. McIntire, 97, peacefully passed away on Sunday, Aug. 30, 2009. She went to be with her Lord and Savior.

Pri-vate family services will be held and inurnment will be in Fortuna, Calif. 

Alleen, and her twin sister Erleen, were born on June 10, 1912 in East Prairie, Mo., the daughters of Milford and Lillie George.

She married Harry McIntire in 1928, in Colorado.  In 1937 she graduated from Life Bible College, in Los Angeles, Calif. 

Alleen and Harry, both pastors, had ministries in many churches in Colorado and California. She loved music, fine stitchery and teaching children in Sunday school.

She is survived by her children, Peggy Tuttle in Romoland, Caif., Joyce (and Jasper) Hosfelt in Ukiah, Calif., Mary Abbott in Cocolalla, Idaho, and Bob (and Sandy) McIntire in Cocolalla; a sister-in-law, Evalyn McIntire in Sandpoint; and 8 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harry, of 71 years; her son, Tommy; a grandson, Ron; and six brothers and two sisters.
