We are being lied to on health care reform bill

| September 2, 2009 9:00 PM

I’m reading HR 3200, the 1,017 page Health Care bill.  I won’t bore you with details. Rather, let me make some broad, general statements relative to HR 3200.

This bill is written, as most are, so as to be nearly unintelligible.

This bill is not good for you, and I’m understating a fact. Our President, I submit, has no idea what is in the bill. I would guess also, that very few legislators have read it.

Your health care will be rationed.

There are big deductibles and co-pays you will shoulder.

Your actuarially based years of life left will dictate whether you are approved for a procedure. Over 65 and need, for example, a bypass? You might get lucky.

Not all people will be covered.

Not all coverage is the same, i.e. there’s Basic, Enhanced, Premium & Premium Plus.

You will be fined and/or taxed if you don’t want coverage.

Small businesses that can’t afford the premiums to cover employees will be fined and taxed.

It’s a sure thing your taxes will go up, up, and up some more.

The bureaucracy needed to shuffle the paperwork created will be astounding.

Big Brother will have the right to go to, and take money out of, your bank account.

This bill reminds me of the novel ‘1984’. We are being lied to, from the President on down — both parties. We’d be wise to wake up.

God Bless America and God bless our troops.
